Fronds are light green with a lacy, delicate texture. This is one of the more sun tolerant ferns, particularly if you give it more moisture. Spreads by underground rhizomes and can be very aggressive. It can out compete smaller plants and should not be used in small gardens. Use for naturalizing, erosion control, or at the base of shrubs and trees. Fronds turns yellow in the fall before dying back. Can be slow to emerge in the spring.
