    Bishop’s Cap (Mitella diphylla)

    Bishop’s Cap is a whimsical, spring-blooming plant that looks best planted in large groups. The white, foam-like flowers are very delicate, and are followed by a unique, raindrop distributed seed structure. Evergreen, Heuchera-like leaves provide cover for animals and protect the ground year round. Will spread slowly by rhizomes, gently weaving through and around other plants. Plant with Cherokee Sedge, Wild Geranium, Eastern Columbine, Dwarf Crested Iris, or Woodland Phlox.

    Leaves: Heart shaped basal leaves are evergreen, single pair of opposite leaves occur halfway up flowering stems
