    Great Blue Lobelia (Lobelia siphilitica)

    Rich blue, dense spikes of flowers start blooming in late summer and can continue into early fall. Looks great in a woodland setting or a classic pollinator meadow. Try planting in large groups for a truly stunning effect or weave through other late summer bloomers like Turtleheads, Joe-Pye, Goldenrods, or Little Bluestem. While happiest in part sun and consistently moist soil, it can tolerate a wide variety of garden conditions. Only plant in full sun if soil stays somewhat moist. Can be short lived, but will re-seed if given the chance.
