Golden Fleece Autumn Goldenrod (Solidago sphacelata 'Golden Fleece')
    Aster Family

This dwarf species of Goldenrod is great for small gardens, container gardening, rock gardens, and more. Topping out at a little over one foot tall also makes it a great choice for the front border. Dense yellow blooms appear on short, curved stalks beginning in late August and continuing into early fall. Bright green, heart-shaped leaves are large, dense, and very attractive. It will thrive in full sun into part shade in moist to dry soils. This cultivar was originally discovered in Eden, North Carolina as a volunteer seedling before being trialed and introduced by Mt.
