Cape Breeze Dwarf Switchgrass ( Panicum virgatum ‘Cape Breeze’ )
    Grass Family

This dwarf switchgrass cultivar is almost as wide as it is tall. It is very upright, full, and a great choice for a compact and tidy grass. Seed heads are dense and are extremely attractive when the sun shines through them. Not picky about soil, but prefers full sun for best form and flower. Looks best planted in groups or bands. Winter form is extremely attractive and provides habitat for insects and birds through the winter. Looks great with Maryland Golden Aster, Goldenrods, and many of the purple, fall blooming asters.
