St.John's-wort FamilyThis small shrub is semi-evergreen in warmer climates. It grows very low to the ground, and can almost function like a dense, woody groundcover. Small yellow flowers appear from late summer to early fall. Tolerates a wide range of soils and sun. Found naturally in dry, open woods.
