Love Joe-pye, but have a small garden? Baby Joe is here for you! This compact version of Joe-pye has all the same pollinator friendly qualities as the parent plant, but maxes out at about 3’. The flowers are a bit richer in color and the plant also tends to branch more, leading to more flower heads. New growth is strikingly geometric with strong purple hues. Plant in full sun or part sun in almost any type of soil, and soon you’ll be in love with Baby Joe. Try planting with Pink Muhly grass, Culvers Root, or Spotted Beebalm.
