SALE Mad-dog Skullcap (Scutellaria lateriflora)
Mint FamilySmall, pale blue flowers arch of the sides of the stem of this curiously named skullcap. Once (falsely) believed to cure rabies, it is now an important species used in herbal medicine for a variety of remedies. Its loose, sprawling habit is better suited for naturalizing, woodland, or an informal garden setting. Prefers moist soils in full to part sun. Dies back to the ground overwinter. Is not an overly aggressive spreader like other members of the mint family.
