    Blue Wood Sedge is naturally found in shady forests, often in floodplains, bottomlands, or moist meadows. It can be drought tolerant when established, but moist soils will promote better growth.Wide, blue-green leaves are evergreen in North Carolina. Plants are clump forming, but will spread slowly through rhizomes. It’s rich color, leaf texture and shape, and non-aggressive nature make it a great companion plant for many woodland plants. Try with, White Wood Aster, Foamflower, Zig Zag Goldenrod, Eastern Columbine, Goats Beard, or at the base of shady shrubs.
