Green Milkweed (Asclepias viridiflora)
Dogbane Family
This hard to find milkweed is not a showstopper, but rather a horticultural delight. Its rather small stature and green flowers make this a front border plant. Plant in a small group if possible, in order to really stand out. It is not an aggressive spreader like some milkweeds, so can be reliably left to play well with other small-ish plants. It prefers lean, dry soils in full sun–do not fertilize or plant with rich soil.
