Purple Giant Hyssop (Agastache scrophulariifolia)
Mint Family
Purple Giant Hyssop is a particularly long blooming nectar plant that is a worthy addition to pollinator gardens and meadows. Flowers are pale purple spikes born atop deeply branched stalks with bright green fragrant leaves. Although a member of the mint family, this is not as aggressive as many of its close relatives. It is not picky about soil, but does prefer full sun. It can be cut in half in early summer if denser, sturdier plants are desired.
