Product Info
Southern Blue Monkshood (Aconitum uncinatum)
Buttercup FamilyThis striking wildflower functions like a semi-vine. Skinny stems with dark green, palmate leaves grow about 2' tall before looking for other plants to weave its way through. It's not smothering at all and adds beautiful texture and color to woodland gardens. The rich blue flowers start blooming in August and casually keep blooming for several weeks. Try planting with ferns, Goatsbeard, Zigzag Goldenrod, or next to a downed tree so it can sprawl along it. All parts of this plant are extremely poisonous.
