Bright, golden yellow flowers bloom starting in April and will continue to bloom for several weeks. The evergreen foilage and tidy growth habit make this a great groundcover, filler around larger plants, and front border plant. Part sun and average soil will suit this plant, though it can tolerate full sun in moist conditions. Spreads by rhizomes, but is not considered aggressive. The name 'Mouse Ear' comes from the oval leaves that resemble a mouses ear. Try planting in the woodland garden with Blue Eyed Grass, Amsonia, sedges, and ferns. 'Nana" is shorted than the straight species.
