    Rattlesnake Weed (Hieracium venosum)
    Aster Family

Rattlesnake Weed  is a perennial wildflower native to dry, sandy, or rocky soils in open woodlands, meadows, and disturbed areas. It features low-growing rosettes of leaves with striking purple veins and stiff hairs. Young leaves have a particularly fuzzy texture, making them particularly attractive. The plant produces slender, leafless stems that bear small, bright yellow flower heads, similar to dandelions, blooming from late spring to early summer.
